Who Is Anomie Technologies?

           

Anomie Technologies is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Third Block Group, a professional services firm in the international aid sector. Both companies are founded and run by Jason Rexilius. Anomie really is more of a placeholder for the development of a specific set of products. It is funded through internal investment and built around operational needs. Once the minimum viable product is launched in the public market, Anomie will grow into its own operating company.




Anomie Technologies’ mission is to develop and support communications security products for the broader market. The challenges faced operating in austere and hostile environments around the world drove the initial product development, but the general problem of privacy and security is much larger. And the challenges created by pervasive surveillance technology are only growing. We want to ensure that the people who need it most can communicate privately and safely.


We believe that trust is really our core product. To that end we will be making our products fully open-source and auditable, in addition to paying for third-party audits ourselves. But really that is only part of what is needed. We built these products because reliability needs to be baked-in at every level, from the creation of the hardware, all the way through to the application. We are building our products around reliable supply-chain partners, US manufacturing facilities, and in-house final assembly. With audit and test points throughout, and positive control, from manufacture to customer. In the future, we will be adding an EU manufacturing partner with components sourced from EU vendors, for customers in that region.


In the end, who we are is, in large part, what we give to the world. We hope our products will speak for themselves and reliably serve those who serve others.
